The Verdict on Revitol's Acnezine Acne Treatment

Here's what our research shows about Revitol Acnezine treatment cream, a skin care management system for acne breakouts and blemishes.

The Sales Pitch

Revitol Acnezine cream provides solution to your acne problems by doing what other topical creams and acne treatments fail to do: it focuses on the root cause of acne and targets it to prevent acne from coming back.

Features and Benefits

It works from inside and out

Acnezine Acne Moisturizing Crème cures acne on the outside by eliminating blemishes and lesions resulting from acne, while Acnezine Skin Antioxidant Capsules work on the inside to make sure you're never again bothered by acne breakouts.

It's not limited to facial acne

Acnezine Skin Antioxidant Capsules are taken orally to ensure treatment of acne located in other parts of the body and not just the face.

It uses organic ingredients

Acnezine Acne Moisturizing Crème contains organic aloe vera, green tea leaf extract, and tea tree leaf oil, among others; while Acnezine Skin Antioxidant Capsules contain hydrolyzed collagen and Coenzyme Q10 with aloe vera powder, alpha lipoic acid, and vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12 and E.

The Facts

Taking the product's sales pitch in mind, let's see what clinical studies reveal about Acnezine's ingredients and what users say after using Acnezine.

The Good

The herbal ingredients are known for their effectiveness. Acnezine's two-fold skin care system contains active ingredients that are clinically proven to be effective. Aloe Vera, known for its anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, is present in both capsules and crème. Green tea leaf extract has antiseptic properties, while tea tree oil is both an antifungal and antibiotic (like benzoyl peroxide). Citrus extract and lemon peel oil are good antibacterial agents and effective in exfoliating the skin's top layer to remove excess oil and bacteria.

The capsules contain Coenzyme Q10. CoQ10 is a recognized antioxidant that combats free radicals - toxins found in the body that cause cellular damage. CoQ10 is being used for cellular regeneration and is a suggested supplement for hypertension, cardiovascular problems, and hypercholesterolemia.

The Bad

Acnezine has a side effect which manifests as skin irritation. The skin irritation may be mild to severe redness, itching, burning, peeling, and possible swelling. On one hand, this means the product is doing its job in working on and under your skin's surface. On the other hand, severe irritation may be caused by overuse (either by using more frequently than advised, or using higher concentrations than normal) or allergy to benzoyl peroxide, the crème's active ingredient. On the plus side, they comply with the US FDA's rule of displaying product contra-indication, reactions, and side effects.

Also, based on various Acnezine reviews online, the crowd is divided between those who saw results and those who did not. Using customer feedback on websites that contain "acnezine" in their addresses can be pretty tricky. While it's difficult to judge which are paid product reviews and which are honest evaluations, it's safe to assume that Acnezine works for some and not for others.

The Verdict

+1 point for herbal, organic ingredients that have medical basis

+1 point for its two-way acne treatment system that works from the inside and out

+1 point for complying with US FDA in listing all ingredients and identifying side effects

-1 point for the side effects

-1 point for multiple "acnezine" websites in favor of the product (i.e. questionable reviews)

This product assessment only looks into the product itself and not the company that manufactures it. With three plus points against two minuses, it's safe to say that Acnezine is worth trying, especially if you have tried and failed with other acne products!
