Acne Diet - How It Should Look Like?

Let us talk about the acne diet, because every healing process must come "from inside." I'm sure you are aware that eating healthy is important. When you are poisoning your body with junk food, it is your skin that often feels the first negative side-effects.

Acne, as you may already know, has become a curse to about eighty-five percent of population. It has become so common nowadays, that people consider it to be a phase when going through puberty. Acne is caused by change in hormones, when bacteria infects a skin area with blocked pores. Dermatologists treat this skin disease all the time, and they know what steps you must take in order to avoid having it in the future.

Back then, there was a theory that poor diets can also cause acne, but many people did not agree with it. Even today doctors deny any links connecting unhealthy eating and this annoying skin disease. The reason for that is simple: scientists are under huge pressure from pharmaceutical companies who are afraid that people will stop using their "poisons," therefore causing them to lose a lot of money.

Did you know that eating refined carbohydrates may lead to a surge in insulin, which on its hand can lead to an excessive production of male hormones that cause the skin to excrete sebum - a substance that is responsible for the appearance of acne? Well, that's true. Of course, foods cannot be the only factor that decides whether you will have a healthy skin or not, but you should tackle this issue from all sides.

What Should You Eat?

1) Try to eat more "skin savers". Skin savers include fruits, veggies, seeds and nuts. Scientists have found these foods to be great against reducing and preventing acne from appearing again. Do your best to find only the freshest foods you can, and avoid the grocery crap that contains too many chemicals.

Also, make sure you eat salads and drink juices in their raw form, because cooking destroys many enzymes that are important for digestion.

2) Consume more Vitamins and minerals. For example:

a) Vitamin A is important for getting healthy teeth, bones, nail and hair. You can find this vitamin in mangos, melons, apricots, spinach, sweet potatoes, carrots, etc.

b) Vitamin B1 is required for digestion and metabolizing foods, which leads to energy productions. There is plenty of this Vitamin in tangerines, pineapples, oranges, etc.

c) Folic Acid helps to preserve a healthy nervous system. It can be found in melons, oranges, tangerines, etc.
